In 2009 Mr kapil sibal very enthusiastically informed "American universities are interested to come to India" All debate about inclusion of board marks and aptitude test started around same time. Schools are genuinely concerned that students are not giving importance to school and effort has to be made to make school study effective. On 13 th october, 2011 As the first ever high-level Indo-US education summit gets underway, India today pitched for famed American universities to "reach out" to the country, with the visiting minister Kapil Sibal saying that tie-ups would yield high economic return. Today in Washington where he was to co-chair the US-India educational summit with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that the foreign university has to be an accredited institution and should have been in the business for 20 years "before it even thinks of coming to India and has to invest "10 million dollar".
In presence of 300 education industry leaders Mr Sibal pointed out that investing in the Indian education sector makes good economic sense for the US as the return on investment in India is much higher as compared to any other country.
It is amply clear that governments only "interest is betterment of students" and this arrangement will help flow of money in the country or to america is to be seen.
Now it can be very well co related that government wants aptitude test and entrance in American university is done through Scholastic Aptitude test(SAT). All change for betterment is welcome but change for the sake of benefiting americans, as it appears puts question mark on the whole process.
Will inviting american university raise the standard of IITs?
Will Reducing the diificulty level of Question in IITJEE raise the standard of IITs?
Will not going to coaching institute raise the standard of IIT?
Will taking Board marks in calculation not result in Rise of super coaching led by School teachers....
